Great Lakes Cool Down

Read an article today on outdoornews.com that the lakes are already below average for this time of year. Not sure about you, but I am getting antsy.

Definitely a good sign. I always hit the Erie steelhead runs starting in late September, I remember last year the lake temperature was one of the highest it's ever been that late, and things were way behind schedule, hoping that this fires the run up a bit more this year.

Oh and in the winter, there was about a week or two of fishable ice on Presque Isle Bay.

This morning I woke up to 50 degree temp and next weeks highs are only gonna  be in the 60"s and 70"s.

It's been in the low to mid 40s for low temperatures at my house since Wednesday which is really fueling my itch.

I was up in potter co this past weekend friday morning it was down to 36.7 degree.
