Yes 9lb 6oz pike was the biggest. The next one was a little 7lb few oz burbot caught on the hole 2 in from me. Good for a boat, trailer, and 40hp 4 stroke outboard. I made the mistake of going for pike but there were only 5 pike caught out of about 121 fish caught. 3 perch and 3 whitefish so the other 110 were burbot. I will be going for burbot next year. Fishing burbot is very different in BC when compared to fishing them in Alberta.
So yes it was better than Pigeon as more fish caught (I think 43 last year) compared to 121 at Gull which I think the organizers were going for. There were about 3800 people there

121 fish in 3800 people is poor odds. But was alot of fun with my buddies in Alberta. I'm now looking forward to Lake Dauphin in Manitoba and learning from the locals
