I've been doing this for my hook trays for year and last year I opened my rattle trap trays and it was a mess.

So I've been doing this successfully now.

I've been doing this for years and everyone laughs at me but I'm not the one with rusty hooks.

Since the early 1980s I've used Amsoil MP (metal protector) and it is compatible with plastic, leather, fabric, fishing line and paint, even in salt water.

I just rinse off the lures I used, keep trays open over night to dry. And keep a pack of those moisture absorbers from runners etc in each tray.
What colour are you using?

Me and the Mrs save the silica gel desiccant packs from just about everything we get them in. Got a shoebox filled with them! I air dry my jigs and then put a few of them in each box. No rust!

It is odorless once the aerosol propellant disburses.

Over 20 years ago, it was mixed with Dr Juice fish-attractant and supplied in a plastic container with a squeeze trigger and adjustable nozzle.   It worked very well. The objections came from the type of folks who see a child in a tee shirt with a picture of a firearm on it and display unnecessary fear.      ;)2

Thanks Seabass, I've been going to get some of those for a long time. I ordered today because of your reminder.

lmao, last year i got the idea to start using my beef jerky silica packets. I eat alot of jerky and get alot of those packets. On the bright side, if it doesnt work for rust my terminal tackle with smell/taste like jerky LOL.

It's a rust preventer AND a fish attractant!
