a short drive to Livingston/Oakland county will give you one last hurrah . I went out yesterday on 6.5 " of good ice and caught 100 + fish between 2 of us. kept our limit of 8" + gills and crappie. It's not over till the fat guy falls through the ice and I haven't seen any fat guys in the water yet. lol

I'm ready to pull the plug on this ice season.
Had some great times again but this oncoming February heat wave will help me put this season behind me. I'll take advantage of early spring cleanup opportunities, get ready for turkey hunting, gardens, and crap like that!

I am a 1/2 hour south of you and was on 8 to 9 inches of solid ice this afternoon.  20 gills, 3 specks, and 3 perch.  Going out Saturday morning for one last hurrah and then it's steelhead time.

If I do get a good report nearby of good ice I can still be loaded up and on the road in 10 minutes. My gear is ALWAYS easy access even when all is put away for the season.
