I grew up in Poultney and have fished it my entire life.  There will be spots with plenty of safe ice (north end of the lake, and possibly the little lake in Wells) but be very careful.  Its not unusual to have a foot in one spot, and an area you can see only have a few inches.

I've fished it a couple times already this year, I was just wondering how it made out the past few warm days.

How'd you do?  We've only fished it twice, but it was slow.

there seemed to be very little water coming in from the brook, so maybe that will help the state park stay solid during the warmup.  We'll fish NH this weekend, but headed back to St. C next weekend.  Good luck and stay safe everyeon.
