Lake Conditions North
« on: Jan 17, 2017, 11:42 AM »
Hey folks,
So headed to Long Lake Derby. Wondering what lake conditions are like as far as snow pack. I live on coast in Belfast and our snow is all but gone and all lakes are solid ice..no snow at all. Just wondering what to bring for transportation. Sled or Wheeler, we are staying on Cross and going to Square one day so figure sled is best bet
Kids screaming and chasing flags...... that is what it is about!

Brookiechaser,
I'm hoping to head up to camp soon, outside of Belfast in Frankfort on Swan Lake. Any idea of the ice on Swan Lake? Also, if you've fished it before and would be willing to share some advice on where to set up? You can PM me if you want.
Thanks

Funny, bunch of us from Bucksport/Orlando are headed to the Long Lake Derby and staying on Cross too. We will be staying in a camp right at the mouth of Fish River. Swing by and let us know how you're doing and have a beer. We did it he Derby last year and had a blast. I hope the weather is as good as last year. Good luck.

Ill be at camp on Square probably just fishing in front of camp near Limestone point because I am guessing I will be doing some riding that weekend as well while I am there, I plan to fish half day and ride half day.  Its tough to get it all in, in such a short amount of time.  hahaha

Drove by Long this morning.  There were trucks on the ice in St. Agatha (north of the small island)  and Sinclair (Sporting Club).  None in between.  Not condoning it and it is always wise to check.

I'm just here to read what all the experts have to say.
