Last Weeks fun

I have yet to have a great day on the ice, fishing has been a bit lackluster for me. Spent two days on bass, a day catching bait, and a day chasing pike...few bass and pickerel, nothing too exciting. The quest for bait on christmas eve turned out great besides the soaking rain! Jigged up 26 Goldens to soak for pike. Christmas was spent chasing pike and had one flag all day and it looked like a small pickerel who couldnt fit the whole giant golden in his mouth..tried to shake him to get my bait back but he won his meal. after 5 trips out its been a slow start! Hoping for another great year!

Agreed . First ice is a bit off this year. You definately haven't wasted time. Just one trip closer to that killer day.  :o

7am 4pm  yesterday, Great Sacandaga, no flags and I could not buy a fish on the jig stick....

haha at least you have a quality fish under your belt this year already. ive spent more time finding pondies than fishing this year so far. luckily me and Matt found them xmas eve haha. took us all day tho.
