Ice making weather next week!!

Here in mn next week is the first real good ice temps!! Highs in the teens and lows in single digits😉😉 my goal is to be on early ice by December 20th

With any luck we should be ice fishing here by the middle of December around the 15th I'm hoping. Looks like next Thursday and Friday nights will be down near zero (f)

So, So happy to see the forecast like this. Its about 25 degrees already here in Bemidji. Ice is very near. All I have been thinking about the past 2 weeks in when we'll get some ice. Is thinking about ice this much abnormal?

I saw that the majority of the country is supposed to get the Arctic Chill starting next week, hopefully it holds true.

Our temps are going to start plummeting after Monday. Hopefully we'll have safe ice between Christmas and New Years.

Looking at the forecast for my area of Pennsylvania and as long as the forecast ends up being accurate we should be on the ice by the 17th.

It definitely depends on the lake,shallow lake freezes quicker than a deep lake. Small ponds before a big lake..Here in W. Pa. early ice would be in  early to mid January. More worried about a long season than a short one like last year. Sorta like those 10 weeks of ice fishing like 2014.

I'm hoping we will have ice by the end of the week before I go to Denver....if not, oh well. Should be able to fish when I get back. It's about damn time.
