2nd Lake in Cheshire fall through?
« on: Feb 22, 2016, 06:44 AM »
Noticed some activity at the second lake boat launch in Cheshire.  Appeared as though something had fallen through the ice.  Now there is caution tape blocking the ramp entrance into the lake and looks like someone cut the ice with a chainsaw going about 50 feet out.  Hope everyone is ok.  :-\

Heard it this morning that a guy went through with a wheeler.  The ice is definitely getting weak.

Supposed rescue on Buel as well.  My phone lit up with a couple folks checking to see if it was me.  It wasn't!

PUT THE HEAVY QUADS AWAY FOLKS. It's not worth your life and the cost to retrieve and or replace a nice quad. Just because there's 6-7-8-9" doesn't mean its as strong as rock black ice. This black ice is going to 💩!

Disregard the Buel thing, poor info passed to me.  Monterey says only dispatch yesterday was for a MV stop....

Just saw the Mansfield report as well.  Be safe out there!  With the mid week rain and temps again hitting the 50's, I'm afraid this ice fishing season is coming to a close fast.  :(

yes in Cheshire second lake sunday  too 4 wheeler pulling a trailer with his family coming off. Wheeler and trailer went for a drink and the people got wet too all were safe. It to was an avid fishermen in the wrong place at the right time . The Berkshire county sheriffs help with diving and getting the wheeler and all his stuff out . Very unfortunate accident again.
