Aqua Vu 2 down the hole

My camera screen went down the hole.  I caught it and pulled it out.  I noticed water behind the screen so I shut it off and put it back in its soft case?  Anyone else have this happen?  Is is toast?  hope not.  I will put it in rice when I get home.  Fingers crossed!

can you take it apart? get into as many pieces as you can. use a hair dryer on the parts and use crackers with the rice. try to get the battery separated asap. it should take a week at least.

i did this with an android. you may need a new display.

Got everything dried out and she turned back on!  some water marks behind the screen but can really see them.

i would still try to dry it more in the rice/crackers in a sealed zip lock container or the like to try to stop the white powder corrosion water starts to make on solder joints after they get wet.

My son did the rice routine when he was shoved into a swimming pool.  Had to leave it in the rice for a few days, but it worked. Gunner

Find a friend with a vacumn pump used on car or house air conditioning to remove moisture  from the Freon lines before they chg lines back up with Freon.
Put the camera in a 5 gal bucket seal the lid and put a 1/4 flare fitting on bucket and run vac pump for 30 minutes as this will pull the moisture into a vapor and discharge it outside the bucket.
That will get the moisture pulled back out for you .

I doubt that a 5 gal bucket will hold up to a vacuum.  You need a stronger container if you are going to try this.
