Ice on Pintanio

Anyone have an idea if the ice on Pontanipo is safe.  Thanks guys

likely sketchy by the ramp with all the runoff from the rain headed out the outlet. I may be down that way today, I'll post what I find if I make it down

I can't speak for Potanipo but I was on Melendy last Thursday which is in the same area and actually sets up faster (smaller). After about 45 minutes of listening and feeling the ice crack, pop, and sizzle I bailed on it, there was about 4" but it was breaking down.  It has gotten worse since as you would expect and when I drove by it this morning the bob house was off and it looked sketchy. I can't imaging Potanipo is any better, especially with the flow that goes through it.

I know a girl that lives on it, she was watching them, she said they broke through a few times getting the last shack off. Lots of open water on the 13 shoreline when I just passed by.
