Pollack fishing
« on: Nov 02, 2016, 03:22 PM »
I am heading offshore tomorrow out of Hampton going to try to fill the fridge.
Can be real good this time of year and google gulf of maine offshore forecast
prevents the nightmare conditions common in Nov.

Good luck! Drop a line for a shark while you are at it, should be some Porbeagle around if not Makos!

It's been a good fall fishing season this year, we fish out of Rye quite often.
We had our best luck in deeper water last time out.
300-350 fow range, less sharks to deal with.
Good luck.

We do ok - good. My buddy caught nothing till the last 2 stops then caught 3 Pollack 7-9 pounders.
I had a good day nothing first two stops - boat did nothing first two stops. I then caught 10 fish in
one stop. By the end of the day 3 big whiting 23-25 inchers, 8 short Pollack, one nice throw back cod fish,
a mackerel and 3 average 7-9 pound Pollack. We took home about 15-18 pounds of fillet.
