Everything you could want to know about ice.

Here is a site that I think might help everyone make informed decisions about ice.  I have read the site many times and still find something new I might have missed.  I like being as informed as possible about something that could potentially kill me.  Everyone always wants to know how thick the ice is.  Well it's not how thick the ice is as to how good the ice is.   Quality over quantity.  There is LOTS of information about ice on this site.  I would venture to say EVERYONE can probably learn something new about ice on this site.  I know I have learned plenty from it.

Read it all.  Good stuff.  No subsitute for actual experience (ED!!!) but worthwhile to know....the reports on the accidents were helpful.

Right....I haven't been ice fishin since I was a kid.  Good thing I got hooked on phonics otherwise I'd have no clue about ice. The 30 something years I've been walking around on it means nothing.

Lots of good information Ed. Everyone should read this. Obviously safety first. I know I've pushed the envelope in regard to ice safety. Being prepared and informed can save lives.

I hate nothing more than reading a post about someone who dies because they went through.  If I can share this info and it saves one person from swimming or worse yet dying I will be a happy.  There is so much valuable information on that site I couldn't resist sharing it.  Five minutes of cut and paste is well worth it in my book.
