That's how I see it. A buddy of mine caught an otter once, thought he had the big one. When it broke the surface scared the crap out of him, even fell backwards. Not one person laughed, RIGHT! The otter saw him and abruptly parted the line.

Same thing happened to my daughter Ashley last year, we were in a cove on a river. Thought she had a state record pickerel on, scared the kids when he came up the hole blowing air out.

He was swimming hole to hole cleaning up all the bait folks left on the ice. I tried to get a closer picture, but he always seem to come up the hole I was not watching.

...and that is Hook line a sinker, that picture was a few years back why I said I seen this guy before. The best thing to do is cut your line and let it go.

Kinda of reminds me of Bill Murray and the gopher.
