four years in the making
« on: Dec 29, 2016, 08:29 PM »
So yesterday i went to fish a 6 trap lake that's right near my house, the state site says it has rainbows in it, now i've fished this lake here and there for about 4 years and had not been able to figure it out, in the four years i've fished it i haven't been able to find a bow, well today was a different story i tried something different, i fished over a 30ft deep hole with my bait just under the ice, well seems that was the ticket today i finally caught one, it was a beautiful 16" female. I was starting to wonder if there were really any bows in there.

That's the "never-say-die" spirit!

Now you're going be hooked and want to target them more frequently.
My epiphany moment was when I jigged up two lakers on Center Harbor while I was targeting perch.

Now I try for them but end up getting perch....

Hey B, nice bow. glad you were able to make a start on figuring that place out. I still haven't been able to find em there.

Yeah i usually target rainbows all the time,  just could never figure this particular lake out.  Keep after those Lakers,  i find them allot of times in and around the yellow perch,  around 30-35 fow on big flats

Yeah thanks,  if you make it there, let me know maybe we can compare notes.
