Anybody been to Bulwagga bay? I'm heading up there tomorrow to try and jig up some perch, wondering if anything is going on there? I know its usually great first ice perch fishing.

To Hood, Bussman (and bussboy)...nice meeting you guys up there this weekend.  Am going to be back up there again before this year is over, will make sure we let you know when we'll be there,

Went to kings Bay this morning and fished until 11:30 or so, (had a long drive back here) and the fishing was completely different today, had pike on the ice before we had all the tipups in the water.  Caught 7 pike this morning, got 2 at 5.5 pounds, looks like they turned on after the lack of bite yesterday.

More soon guys...hope the fishing is good for you up there, you ever want a trip down here then let us know and we'll see if we can accomodate.........eso x....

Where is everyone parking at kings bay there are no parking signs everywhere? Sorry I missed everyone I just don't want to have my truck towed. Fished deep bay no good perch catches coming out of there witch is strange for this new ice. Can't wait for trombley bay. Some friends of mine were up on Chazy lake Janurary 2 2006 they got a 14 pound lake trout just over 36 inches long :o  Wish I had caugt that  ::) But the girls that caught it were 12 and 13 its nice to see kids and women ice fishing its great for the sport.  :)

Well I am glad you guys got into some fish!  We on the other hand went back to catfish and I got my truck stuck. Thanks to 2 DEC officers applejacks and another fellow fishermen we got it out! After all that we wound up catching nothing but dinks. ::) Oh well! Thats the way it goes sometimes! There was a group of guys out off of Chazy Landing but I am not sure if I am going out there any time soon. There is still a ton of open water over the channel right there. Even if the ice is good I would hate to wind up on a piece that broke off.

tackle....for kings bay go down point au fer rd. On the left after the no parking zone ends there is a road, park there off point au fer. Also you can go down the first 200 feet of road to catfish bay theres a parkin area and walk back out and onto kings.

Hello Rouses Point,

I want to say a HUGE thanks to everyone we met over the weekend.  I couldn't get over how friendly and helpful everyone was in Rouses Point.  Even though the fishing was slow you folks made up for it.  It was great to finally meet Hood, Joe D.,Busman and Busboy.  I will post some pictures in a few days when I get the film developed.

Thanks again
Ranger

Thanks for the invite but with the move and new job I am going to have a hard enough time just getting out around here. We are now in the house hunting mode and I am sure that is going to take up some of my fishing time as it is. I am sure if you continue to come up this way in years to come that we will fish together and maybe once I get settled in this new job and area I will be able to take you up on your offer.

Thanks

Bussman

Anyone know how the ice around the Ticonderoga Ferry has held up. Looking to go up there this weekend but not worth the trip if the ice isn't safe.

I went over the bridge saturday and the ice was breaking up and there even was a shanty floating in the water. The lake had risen so much that the ice was away from the shore. The ice looked un safe from crown point to Ticonderoga. :'(  Myabe these cold temps will help.
