I fell prey to all the Boggs / Muck hype on here, coldest boot I have ever worn for anything other than a spring / fall rain boot or still hunting boot.  They do offer good support for that purpose but overall are one of the worst purchases I've made in a while.  Going back to the tried and true $40 -$50 baffins, lightweight, waterproof, removable liners.  Never been a fan of lace boots for ice fishing with so much gear on, easy on, easy off, do yourself a favor. :tipup:

Any time someone recommends Muck Arctic Sports to me, I wonder what I did to piss them off.

I'm just here to read what all the experts have to say.

x2    I just took a pair back to Beans. I bought the LaCrosse Burly , hope they are better.
Salesman told me the reason my feet were cold in the Mucks was because I wore light socks???
I'm going to try light weight rag wool with a light liner this time.?
My "Micky Mouse" boots are great, if I don't have to move around a lot, walk a long ways or have deep slush.Walk very far in them & you're stepping on your tongue. ;D

@lostone
thank you for posting I was about to buy some lacross ice kings guess not now.. I own a pair of kamik ice crushers that work but my feet sweat in them and always get cold when moving around I need some thing more breathable but they are warm as can be when there not damp  don't have a problem with them cracking or any thing great muck boot if any thing maybe I will look more at kamik pac boots ? I had the same problem with my sorels as you had with your lacross boots the boot cracked were the toes flexed cut threw the rubber with a auger   when talking to people on the ice etc etc I still own my hodgman  temp king pros but they don't make them any more...so having a tough time finding boot I may end up with some mikeys who knows

Glacier Bay Ranger

For specs:  http://newenglandmarine.com/products-page/browse-by/ranger-glacier-bay-boot-a229/

Reny's usually carries them
X2
I have not tried any other boot because I have been wearing Rangers since I was 12. I spend an average of 2 days a week on the ice and usually from Sun up till Sun down. Never once have I had cold feet or wet feet. A pair usually last me 5 years but for $80 you can't beat them.

I've had great luck with my Baffns. Relatively light for a full rubber boot,they have I think a 7 layer liner,and a honeycomb insole that I think is key to warmth by creating an air space between your foot ant the bottom of the boot. Just my opinion of course, but I've logged a lot of ice miles in them and now won't be without a pair.

the kamik boot I have are about the same as those and my feet sweat in them how about yours?  if I am done moving around from hole hopping for like a hour and sitting fishing my feet get cold...but as soon as I get up and start moving again they get warm again.. go figure... I tried those little hotties felt soles in mine and a lot of other stuff the hotties seem to work a tad.. buddies sorels have the same problem with cold feet and sweat same problem with my sorels he paid $150 for his I told him to take them back and get a $40 pair of kamik ice crushers or some mikey mouse boots and save the extra money for lures ... he asked were can you  buy the mikeys from.. I told him a army surplus... would have been better then $150 and the same thing of sweaty feet in a over priced cheap boots....

CW, I have the green kamiks also, but they don't come close to the Baffin's for warmth. The Baffin's have a better liner and the honeycomb insole that creates an air barrier between your foot and the ice. I also wear a good sock like smart wool brand,they do a great job of wicking moisture away from your feet.

I had a buddy that used to spray his feet with antiperspirant to keep them dry. I've never tried it,but I guess it could work,keeps your pits dry,right?
