Getting a Product into Stores?

I wanted to poll the audience to see if anyone is familiar with getting a product line they are fond of stocked on the shelves at stores near them? I have spoken to some store employees and managers who seemed interested but the conversations never progressed further than that.

CALL THE MANUFACTURER AND TELL THEM YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY DIRECT B/C THE LOCAL STORE DOES NOT CARRY THE ITEM YOU WANT... GOOD LUCK
