Smitty sled
« on: Nov 12, 2015, 09:32 AM »
I made a smitty sled to haul my ice fishing gear, if I use my atv to tow it I have to have a ridged hitch how do I do that with a smitty sled?

That would probably be the smart thing to do. You'd have no control over sled with a rope only.

I would think the Smitty would have to be screwed/bolted/fastened  together as opposed to being able to be taken apart. Shappell makes a conduit style tow bar .. I   think you would have to have the front upright quite a bit forward .

Been using it this for years.  I can not wait for any law enforcement to tell me it is "illegal" I will ask for the exact Enforcement Code, Jurisdictions, Ect...

And a judge can throw it out based on his interpretation.

I have to build one soon. There was too much snow last year for my 4 wheeler and I was dying pulling all my stuff without one.
