I've done more of this sort of predator jigging over the last few years and am convinced that sometimes it's the best thing going. This will make my stacks of soft water boxes viable year round.

Of course, it won't take much for me to whip up my own version in the shop. Some bullet sinkers, maybe tungsten to reduce profile, or wait (weight) maybe some solid beads instead of a single piece to add sound to otherwise silent lures and a little wire bending and I'm there.

This is one of those things that's too easy to DIY though I expect there are some folks that just don't have the skill set, time or inclination to to go there. In that same line I've had a little live bait "secret" for years that I don't share a lot for that very reason. It's pretty effective because it's different yet not difficult for anyone to reproduce.

I tried the Rip Rip jiggle never got past that the new Darter was gone but I did get to feel the head shake for a second or 2 it was awesome.
