I already had a Milwaukee M-18 drill with 4AH battery so I took a chance on getting the K-Drill

Problem is under products they are sold out.

For me its perfect, and didn't take me long to sell the Strike Master Mag 2000.

I have a Ion 8" auger and I love it. I keep my battery in a small padded six pack cooler with my spare blades and I also keep some hand warmers in it for the days it is super cold out.

I could hear a guy drilling behind me Sunday, I walked over and it was a K-drill. He let me give it a whirl and wow did it drill nice. Had the Milwaukee drill and 6" hole. I think I would go 8" when I take the plunge. By chance I already bought the drill last summer.

Cabelas has the Nils Arctic Trekkers on sale right now.  I bought the 8" myself.  I already have Milwaukee drills at home, so spending around $240 (with tax and shipping) sounded pretty good for an excellent auger.  Some days I drill 2 holes, others I will drill 50.  If my batteries run out, I'll have the manual handle to man up and drill some by hand.

Now if you're drilling scores of holes every day, the Icegator or the Ion might be better suited for you.

I have an 8" Ion... And at first I was pleased with it, until my buddy bought the jiffy propane! If the battery gets cold, your in for a short outting, 20 degrees and 12" of ice and it is nice! 15 below and 24" is ice, and you have to be diligent in getting holes drilled and getting battery back on the heat pack! I am really curious to hear honest reviews of the new Gator! Anybody willing to give me that? I would love for it to be true, so I can show the propane guys that electric is just as good or better!
