Nice little 22 1/2 fighter. 8 progressively shorter runs before he wanted to put his head in the hole...bake w/ butter 400 done.

Post made me remember.....A few years ago I got to the pond just before daylight. It was getting warm and a fog was over the ice. Put the first trap in and started to walk away. Heard the flag pop and brought in a female about that size. Thought to myself, “Gonna get em today” as I released her. Never had another flag that day. left a noon. Sometimes 1 flag is all ya need!  :tipup:

We got on the ice at 6A and we tried all types of rallying techniques and nothing worked. There was rumbling about leaving at nooish. Then I started talking up the 2 O'clock run...@ 1:59 I got my 1st and only flag. Woooo! It was a great day with or without, great time w/ our neighbor shack but that made the day. I started complaining about flags again 1/2 hour later...
