Good sale at Gander.
« on: Jan 31, 2015, 07:50 PM »
10% off everything in the store regular or sale price, and ice fishing jigs (excluding Rapala) are 25% off on top of that.   Plus they had the 2" Northland Ripping Shad's marked down to 2.99.  This is at the Onalaska store, but I'm guessing they're all about the same.  Be aware though, they are terrible at actually putting things on sale in their system so you need to double check your receipt.

Not true in this case, the Cashier's need to scan a Promo Code for 10% off sale. If your cashier doesn't do so, you know they made a mistake. The other sale items, including 25% off Frabill accessories is scanning fine.

It's totally true - stuff on sale at gander mtn. regularly rings up at non-sale prices, especially at the Madison location.  Then you have to tell them it's wrong, go to the aisle & point out the sale sign...  Cannot wait for Cabela's to open shortly...

I just purchased at least one of everything stated by the op...including Frabill and Clam accessories. I've seen items from flyers not ring right in the past, Not saying that in every instance every product is correct, but in this case, the only issues I've seen are the cashiers not scanning the 10% off.

Good luck and good fishing.

You purchased at least one of everything stated by me?  Odd, since I don't see a list in my original post.  The last couple times I've bought sale stuff there it's been wrong.  They had a sale on some Northland stuff a while back and that didn't ring right, and then the other day everything I got rang up with just the 10%.  Luckily I noticed it before I left the lot and ran back in and the register staff took care of it for me.

You didnt list 25% off ice jigs and the Rippin shads at 2.98? said I bought what you listed and added Frabill and Clam items, all rang up with no issues where I was at. Again not saying everything rings up perfect 100% of the time, but the ice items that are on sale are.

Maybe at the Gander you work at things ring correctly.  But, past experiences have been less than a crap shoot on things being correct in their systems - probably 60%+ of the time it's not correct when on sale - that's an issue.  Got rung up for 2 $500 spools of tipup line (!), which was an easy notice.  The Madison one is a 5 minute drive from my house & I won't go there unless it's a quick, needed item & then I still have to check to make sure the listed sale price is correct.  No other retailer has issues similar to this that I've visited, none.

Saying "25% off all ice jigs" isn't a list.  But since you think it is, and that you bought one of everything I listed does that mean you bought one of every Ice jig there?

Got burned by gander the other day. I bought a rod case that was marked 25 percent off. Grabbed some other stuff too. Went up to the register and was so preoccupied about making sure they took the 10 percent off that j never realized the rod case didn't come up 25 percent off. Looks like I will b making another trip back to gander. Should have known better. Smh..
