Good luck at the Strap!!

Had a not to bad day at the strap today, didn't catch much Perch and Walleye but pulled 9 Jack out of the water, last couple times out there I've had a couple Jack on the ice.

Good job Meatro!!!!!!  I was looking back at a calander that we kept track of what we caught last year and Feb. and March were the best months. Hopefully things are turning around for the rest of the season.

Were you north or south of the causeway?

Meatro: Where abouts on the south side? The N. End has been slow. We've been fishing the arm (Channel?). Apu, I can see your 'Blue Box' from the mouth. Haha!!! My past weekend went as follows. Sat: The Strap, Fish-0, Hits-0, Bites-0. Sun: Broderick, Fish-5, Hits-15+, Bites numerous. Husser.

Well against my better judgment I took the shack to Blackstrap on Sunday.  We tried the very north end, a little further out than most of the shack.  Had a few bites on meal worms but no fish, and no hits on the tip ups (large smelts).  Got to keep trying their going to come around eventually.

To the truck towing the minivan off the lake, "what was that guy thinking"!

Lots of Parisailers out there!

Apu, how did you make out this weekend (fishing) I mean, I saw you at David's Saturday night and it looked like you were doing alright there.  Nice one in the pink shirt.  hahahaha

We got skunked, 0 fish seen, 0 bites on the tip-ups, HORSEcrap!!!!!!!! Going north this weekend to Sawmill Lake for some Pike.

If you guy's see me out at the Strap stop by and and say hi !!!!!!!

Bigshow, yup feelin no pain Sat. night,  I like pink its my new favorite color ;D
You should have said something, we could have had some iceshanty.com shooters!!!!

Found this one lurking at Blackstrap on Sunday.  45 inches - 20 lbs.  Hopefully there's more down there.

I'm guessing the mods didn't accept the entry for that 45" er because there was no picture "on" the ice. Oh well, you still know you have the biggest fish so far :bow:

Was out there yesterday but had no luck what so ever. Not even a bite. Have almost given up on blackstrap although there may be better locations then the far north end of the lake where most of the shacks are. If anyone has any suggestions on where to try other than this far end of the lake your input would be greatly appriciated. Good luck and post often. ;D

Correct Apu.  The one time you forget the camera you land the big one.  I'm sure we'll see another one comparable from the Strap this season.
