Cheshire was good last week and I saw some folks on pontoosuc last weekend. With this cold, the ice is making an inch a day easy. You will be fine this weekend. I am planning on getting out in the same area. Maybe Onota... Have fun!
I believe in catch and release! Every fish deserves a second chance.

X 2.  Saw guys out at Cheshire, pontusooc, and would bet by this weekend they'd all be good. Be safe tight lines.
Me and fish won't have problems if they keep their mouths closed.

There's a lot of ice in a lot of places.  You know when all is Berkshire guys shut up on here it's cuz we're fishing!  Depending on your crew / load you can find some ice on any of those waters. Check for yourself to make sure you're comfortable.
As I am typing this I am sitting in a 4000 pound vehicle fishing, so yeah...there's ice.

Went out yesterday to check Lenox/Lee area. Laurel is getting close and might be ready by weekend. Stockbridge Bowl is close to ready at the ramp . I fished on 4 inches of black at the beach for 3 hours until the whiteouts and squalls drove me off. Most of Cheshire is ready to go except southern end of first lake.
Being on ice is nice but the tug is the drug.

I'm surprised Manny , thought you'd have more by now. Close to 6" in my area yesterday.

Keith, I attribute the slower conditions to the wind around here. You know how breezy  it is in the Berkshires. Now that they are locked up, I know it will be quick. I have to admit I was surprised yesterday about the Bowl and Laurel not being safe for the most part.

Would have hit Laurel or Goose but since they are not stocking Salmon anymore I wont be going out that far anymore... just in the boat.  Always would catch at least 1 salmon a year from both of those places... what a shame....

Good luck.
