Montana kokanee
« on: Jan 03, 2015, 04:57 PM »
Hello all!  Just a little curious about the kokes around the state.
1). Are the kokes around the state the same strain?
2).where does this strain originate from?
3). Is this strain "special", as in for example the arlee rainbows are long in length and feed more often compared to the Yellowstone hatchory which are more predatory and live longer?(my mistake if any of this info is wrong).
Looking forward to learning more about our Montana kokes from this awesome group of fisherman/women!

Looking at the stocking records from 2011 to now only two strains are shown. Primary is Lake Mary Ronan and a few plants from Little Bitterroot.
