Boysen Catfish ( Rumors,---is the catfish edible or not? )

I have heard several rumors that you shouldn't eat the catfish out of Boysen due to the Super high mercury content, is this a rumor , superstition or has there been any documented fact?  Thanks for any comments .....FISH ON !!!! ;D

I eat the crap out of it. The state says not to eat ANY fish out of Boysen more than 2 times a week if I remember right. Eat away man!!

Mercury should be lower in the fish during winter just like a thermometer. Just don't eat the belly meat?
