Would a 550 rmk polaris be a decent ice fishing sled?  Fan cooled,  long track.  May pick one up.  Should i add studs?

Thanks.

It should be a fine fishing sled.

If you will be on bare ice then yes on the studs.

Make sure and post a picture of it!

Yes, that would make a great ice fishing sled.  Be sure to do research on the specific year of the 550 RMK you are looking at.  Polaris had some pretty consistent burn down issues with the 550 in a specific chassis.  I don't know all the specifics or which years/models were the problem sleds but just giving you a heads up on a potential issue.  Good luck!

it would make an awesome ice machine, i've got an 04 550 classic that i stretched to 144" put on a studded 144x1.25 track, geared it down a bit and made a custom rack/hitch. aslong as you know how to ride its almost unstoppable
