fish on at flat horn!

We headed into figure eight on Saturday Christmas eve. We got to the power lines and the foot of snow that was at the parking lot was all but gone. We turned around and went into flat horn. The fishing Gods rewarded us for our decision and gave us a solid flag filled day! We caught over 16 fish all between 20 and 30 inches. Pretty consistent all day. I had one break off at the hole and lunged my arm into the hole after it with the gaff. I was almost successful but it ripped my fingers with his teeth and i dropped it. The weather was very nice. The trail is the standard kidney jarring ride that it always is. The lake has about 20 inches of ice. There is a fair amount of overflow near some creeks and some open water at the lake. Stay on the trail and be careful and you will be OK. I can not wait to get back in there as it was a blast. Probably about the only thing that was bad was that several beers broke and we ran out of schnaps and had to switch to the below zero beverage of Jim beam! Hope to see some of you out there. Keep the hooks sharp, Chef viktor

No shortage of Pike for your group, sounds like you had a killer day! Thanks for the report.
Can't help you on a web site, but the USGS has what you need or the Visitors Center (call) has printable maps on water proof paper.
