Pleasant Lake
« on: Mar 28, 2014, 06:34 PM »
Thinking about fishing it tomorrow. Thought I'd head there in the am with a friend and see how the showdown works on whites.  Do people access the lake through the boat launch or is there someplace else people get on. Thanks for any info.

The one in casco off 121. Just seeing if it would be better to go to the second boat launch instead of the first one.

The North end is shallow for a long ways, I'd definitely go on at the South end boat launch.

Thanks again for the info. I assume there is parking I've actually never been there. Trying for some whites to make fish tacos and not tell the kids.

We were the guys on the other side of the shore with the dog and tennis ball cannon. We talked to one of you for a while, we fished from 6:00 to 4:30 only had two flags all day and landed one fish, a salmon. I was hoping for some whites for tacos but maybe next weekend.

There are some big whites in there but for some reason the fishing there is very slow on the hard side. Don't feel bad, about three weeks ago we had 15 traps and 0 flags in four hours. ;D ;D

If you're going to have a slow day, it sure was a nice one today. ;D

Whites are half way up the lake , in the deeper water. Its a long hike from the southern end.

That would of been a long walk in that slush for the deeper water. I have only trolled that lake, got 15" salmon and the small mouth bass are good fighters. I think the bite was slow on Saturday, a place where I went we always get large mouth and lots of pickerel was slow.
