Can cooker

 Can Cooker does anybody use this in there shanty or on the ice? just wondering if its worth it. Seems like you can do a good meal quick

lol, looks like  a milk can with latches on it, small vent hole in the lid and you fill it it with whatever you want to eat and it steam/cooks the food rather quick usually within 30-45 min, Cabelas sells them in two diff sizes, looks like its very versatile

Find the science channel if available to you he's actually really interesting. Its one survival show that actually could teach you what to do in a bad situation when out of civilization.

They used to use milking cans.  You would layer the corn and sausage and potatoes and bury the can on a beach fire of hot coals.  Food cooked up while you were fishing.

While on the ice I prefer to fish not eat but that's just me.

Thanks, I'll check him out.  I wish he'd consulted me ~ I've truly lived beyond civilization since '75 and coming into the country that is what America was.    ;)2
