Anyone fished Kelly Bay in Alburg yet?

Just looking for some info. before making the 3 hr ride north to fish Kelly's Bay this year. I found and fished 2 years ago just once and haven't been back but looking forward to a trip up there very soon. I had the best day of Ice Fishing there with no monsters but had flags all day long. Any info on ice conditions would be greatly appreciated. I don't ask for ice conditions usually but don't want to waste the day and the money for gas for nothing.

That's usually the first bay fishable on Champlain, I'm sure there is 12+ inches of ice, and has been fished for weeks

People are fishing it and driving on it. Saw full size pickup out there last week. Don't know how the bite is though.

Word is pretty slow bite everywhere,

I"ve heard that the fishing has been slow. I've gone once for rainbow's and had 4 flags within the 1st hour of daylight then not one flag after and I gave up at 2pm. Hopefully this weekend will be better.

Fished it two weeks ago. We had no flags for 4hrs and left. Only saw 3 little pike get landed out of the 80+/- flags that were in the bay.

I fished it Sunday flags all day many many small pike biggest was 34" maybe 7/8 lbs.
10" of ice
If you want a lot of action it's the place to be.

Thanks everyone for the info. rbobby that is exactly what I experienced 2 years ago. My buddy and I went up with 8 dozen bait. Ran out of bait at 3pm. We kept fishing and when we caught a pike we would pick up that tip up and it took only till 5pm when we ran out of tipups. We left only 1 bait on 1 ti pup to go home. Best day ever. Really want to go back. No monsters but I go for the fun of catching fish. I'm not looking for the trophy but if one does come it will be great.
