Candlewood has big perch. Medium shiners on tip ups and jigging. I like to fish in 20-35 fow.

A quality flasher helps.

Any help with where you would park and get on the ice at candle wood?  I have only fished there by boat in the open water coming on from te state ramp but that seems like a long walk to get to deeper water

Tyler lake find weeds 5-10ft you can look down the hole when jigging. Small teardrop or maribou jig tipped with a spike and keep moving hole to hole. By the end of the day you'll have dozens and if you like pickerel then set up shiners. If not don't even bother with the shiners cause the perch will just screw with them and won't take.

If you know spots then hit candlewood for monsters (got some 14-16" this summer). Weeds or humps. 10-15ft shiner 2ft off bottom. You may run into trout if you go deeper off drop offs which is pretty sweet.

been getting perch 28-42 feet...small ones are a little shallower...flasher is a must if jigging.

I've found some monster bass deep (in the summer tho). Definitely worth the wait if you stick it out there. I might be on candlewood this weekend, been to a lot of places this winter except there.

That is some helpful info.  Candlewood lake being so big any particular location where to start.  Not looking for favorite personal spots to be divulged here but some insight where to fish on Candlewood would be appreciated.  Never been to Candlewood ice fishing and very seldom I am there in the summer.   Appreciate any insight.

Cheers,
IcyFish007
