Timber at Wanahoo?
« on: Dec 27, 2013, 07:15 AM »
Just a a quick question.  Im headed out to wanahoo about 11ish today.  You think it will be safe to pass through the timbered area with the temps.  I heard they got plenty of Ice since the last time I was out there a few weeks back. Im headed out there tomorrow to enjoy the weather before sundays 11 degrees.  Join me if ya like I be on the east side of timber line.  cheers!

Yesterday the ice on the east side in the cove area was around 12 inches thick where we were at. Not sure in the trees but it was 10 inches a few days ago in the trees.

was there today.  Ice is still 9 inches thick in the timber.  Today didn't do much to affect it either.  Enjoy the nice weather and fish it up, cause next week the weather changes again.
Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

Ice is fine in the Timber.  Hopefully you can catch something other than small bluegill.
