Small Friday Gathering

Got out on a local spot here in Clinton today with enough shanty members to call it a small gathering. Fishing was ok. A couple small bass bunch of perch yellow and white and a few crappies and slimedarts. Ziffle and crew made the trip from the cape. bigbry068 came up from CT. Stealth, and Lenz came out that gave us 3 of the GODS. BaitBucket , Budski, and the newly named Jiggergirl. Food was good. Burgers, Dogs, and Sausage. Company was great. Made for a great day.





Almost forgot Munich stopped by at the end of the day and talked with us for a while. Thanks for a great day all.

Way to go guys!!  Wish I didn't have to work.  Small gathering on the Rip tomorrow if anyone wants to join.  I think it's kinda funny that BaitBucket and Stealth have the same suit.  Will you tryin to be a young GOD??

Lol Ed, Jimmy and I were going back and forth about that all day. He got his for Xmas, so I decided hes trying to look like me, cant say I blame him.

PS.. We even have the exact same frames on our prescription sunglasses lol

Great day, always fun to meet shanty members. 

My first white perch through the ice ever.


Ziffle and his crew came up from the cape.  This young man is a high speed sprinter when a flag goes up, fun to watch.  When one of my flags goes up I wait to see if the Senior van shows up to take me there.




Lenz chased perch flags all day long form his furthest tilt.  Some things never change.


Bigbry, can we really call him that any longer? 


Jeff getting slimed by a dart. Look how happy he looks.



Now that Will and I have the same Striker Ice suits we look like mini mes.  We even have the same sun glasses.  Maybe Will is my long lost brother I never knew about.


So that's it, another day made better because we know and enjoy the connections the Ice Shanty affords us.  Tight lines everyone.

i was totally beat, caught 14 9" perch, 2 slime darts and a crappie. i wore a groove in the ice from making probably 50 trips down my line. of course 25 were to the tilt farthest away..arrgghh!

Jeff, thanks for the update on conditions. We had an awesome day.  It was nice to run into a small gathering and meet several members.  A really great group of people.  I'm looking forward to future outings/gatherings this season.
