St. Croix

I'm heading out to the St. Croix tomorrow for some crappie action.  Our plans are to drive out through Hudson and fish the Minnesota side in Bayport.  Has anyone been out on the river yet?  It's my first time out this year and the first time with my own flasher all to myself!  ;D

I live in that area, but have never fished the frozen river. Did you find anything good? How much ice? How vlear is the water? How fast the current? Depth?
