YES !!! But first put them in your bottom lip and warm the little bugger up !!
Then place him on a green / white frosty jig ; and drop to the bottom and jig. ;D

When I was a kid, that's all we used at Canyon Ferry, especially at Yacht Basin...  back when perch were plentiful.  Seems like everyone uses maggots now...  including myself.  But yes, we used to hammer them with a Swedish pimple tipped with mealworms...  would buy them in bulk!

Well the mealworm trick didnt work for me today.
caught all my perch on maggots .....

Yeah i one had one bit using them saturday. Was a slow day for me, but had fun taking my boy out.
