Lake Hooper

How's the ice thickness on Hooper right now? Has anyone been down there to fish it recently...like within the past couple of days? Thinking about heading down there for a night bite if the ice is decent. I thought I remembered someone telling me that there were some geese that left a spot open down there. Hoping I heard the wrong information. Thanks!

was down there last sat,ice was good didn't measure it but would guess 7-9 range. Fishing was kinda slow caught 15 gills but not much size to them.         The lake was completely solid didn't see any open water.

i always went straight out from boatramp about 1/3 of the way out and probably 30 yards to the north. there is a nice drop off there and always caught a lot of crappie. I have never personally seen it but people have always told me there are a lot of springs in this lake.
