I'd hope that all ice-fishers know better than to let their children play on 3" of ice. With a new season coming please be safe!!!

this  definately is tragic. my heartfelt thoughts and pryers go out to the family of the victims. teribble anytime but with the holidays coming it just saddens me. though i must disagree with the last quote in that article..."There is no such thing as safe ice," . im not really sure what he meant but i dont think an unecessary tragedy such as this should discourage people from using the ice. just too bad more people arent educated about ice conditions and ice safety.

That is sad.  But, ya know?   ???  Sorry, but there are folks on this site that post about going out on 2-3".  Not me, sorry.  Please, everyone on here be safe.  Icefishing is worth the wait, don't push it and end your ice fishing life.
