Yes, I've never been there so any end will work for me.  My regular ice fishing buddy doesn't like/want to move so I'm looking for new places and new faces.

This very well be one of my "home" lakes for this winter along with Lilly Lake and Francis Slokum. You'll probably see me out there if you spend some time going.

good mikethepike you can let me know the minute it freezes enough to go out on, since you'll be monitoring the lake on a consistent basis. If you want to start catching bigger fish, however, you can come back to the lakes in jersey

I know that this is not a popular subject, and I will make my anual plea at a latter date, but please consider releasing what you catch.
The preasure at this lake has grown considerably in the past couple years, I know that I am partly to blame because of the many positive posts I have made about this lake. This lake was recently considered a dead lake, and has made quite a comeback, it is still a very fragill body of water.
I mean, there is nothing wrong with keeping a few fish to eat, but when I see a 16 inch pickerel laying on the ice, I have to wonder, if it will really get consumed. Just keep in mind that it takes a long time for a perch to grow to be 15inchs, or a bass to become a 7 pounder.

Anyway, I am done rambling for now................
80% of Americans are unhappy with the direction our once great Country is heading. Yet 80% of Americans insist on buying blue jeans that were made in China, coffee filters that were made in Taiwan and anything else that was made anywhere but here........wonder if there might be a connection?

I totaly agree with Byron this lake is one of the first lake we get on and last year was fished till 3/31/05. We are lucky here in PA to have a lake where we can hardwater fish for 4 months we here at IS probly attributed to the recient popularity of this "first on last off lake" we should only keep what we will eat fresh ! Don't use this lake to stock that begining of the season empty freezer FRED

All i will say is Fred come on? Heck you were even trying to coax those fish through the ice with a beer...err wait i mean soda!  ;D Then he tried spearing them with his Spud! Until i threw it to the bottom of the hole! oops  ;D No Fred is right though do not stock that freezer just for the sake of doing it! Keep those lines tight! Plus always make sure the beer is cold! Not on lake Jean though make sure SODAS only! he he
