Ice fishing Charters?
« on: Oct 01, 2013, 11:31 AM »
hello all i have been looking into exploring some new lakes and would like to make a trip of it staying lake side would be awesome, not having to worry about where to go and  not having a long ride back home. I live on the coast of mass and the ice seasons here are not long at all lucky to get 6 inch of ice a few weekends of the winter (the temps hover just below and above freezing most of the winter). i ride about a hour to hour and a half to fish southern nh. I also generally fish by my self ,is it worth all the money that the charters are charging since i have all my own gear as well. Seems like it would be fun but would like to hear from you guys what your experiences were. thanks all

Sounds like your limited by where you live not so much by what you have for ice gear. If your looking to catch a lot of fish and have a great experience without spending a lot of time driving figuring out where to fish etc, then Id say yes its worth it. Yo Adrien Charters can put you on the fish. He always seems to do well and can target a lot of different species depending on what your looking for. I have not hired him personally but I know he does a good job.

If you get 3 people it seems like pretty short money to me. I've been really wanting to do an ice charter with Adrien for a long time, my buddy and I were just talking about it. I'd be more than happy to just show up with my clothes, have someone haul me out in a heated snow cat, drill holes for me, set up a portable or whatever for warmth, let alone put me on the fish- for a buck fifty a day. Just get a couple buddies to do it and it's worth it. Click that link above and see the fish he's helped his clients catch!

Ive been on about 10 or so charters with Adrien, helping him out with large groups and a customer he has with a disability, you want fish, he will get you on them, and its worth every penny. Provideds all the on  ice transportation, the bait, and the knowledge. All you need to bring is warm clothes and lunch.
