Why do we do it that is the question...I hate myself right now .had a day kinda planned and went out with the wife last night and one lead to two and two well you kno the rest ugggg.I very rarely drink can't deal with the outcome the following day lol.but I guess sometimes u gotta say LET'S GOOOOOO! And pay.This will be the last time for awile ...like as in years.have a great day PIKE is out.

Been there.. Done that. Like you, dont know why..Drink lots of gatorade.. It helps..

I never liked the taste of alcohol, (I was born with acid reflux) and growing up my friends would try to get me to drink. I remember getting pestered after a party one morning, by a friend. He kept telling me that if I drank a lot I would like it... I asked him what he was doing around 1:00 am? He said it was not very clear to him, what he was doing??? I told him, he was worshiping the porcelain god, because I saw him on my way to a bedroom with Mary... I knew what I wanted and it was not getting drunk!!!!

To this day I have never been drunk...

I have been very fortunate. I can get drunk and rarely get a hangover. I have always been this way. I used to drink only beer but as I got older it would give me a headache so I switched to whiskey and problem solved. I usually feel just fine in the morning but sometimes and I don't know why, I will get a hangover. But every now and then ya just have to do it!

its nice taking the wife out and have a good time it sucks that in the morning you don't want to get up early to go fishing

I heard a great remedy for the morning after hangover....some nice fried perch roe. Go to hardwater cuisine and look up cornbreads recipe.....that should cure ya from doing the drinking again.

yeah, been there done that.. fortunately for me my drinking partner was also my fishing partner.. don't think either of us were wanting to hit the ice the next morning.. But must say spending the night / next day with her was well worth missing a fishing trip..

When I drink the next morning having a drink helped, though I rarely get hangovers karaoke nights at the local small town bar usually ends with many shots of different alcohol and that's when I get hangovers. Quick shot of whiskey and a redbull or coffee gets me ready to go the next morning

If you drink like some people, it is only a matter of time before you miss out on a fishing trip or two because of the hangover parts. But you gotta keep the little woman happy or she has ways of ruining alot more than just a trip or two.

When I was younger, dumb & just plain stupid, & I use to drink a little too much, I found the best remedy was to get out in the cold air. So next time, hump up & get out there.

I rarely "partake" anymore....just not worth the possible consequences if caught on the road after having a few....and I just seriously can't handle the after effects anymore. I remember being young and dumb and partying it up all night...get up the next morning...have a big breakfast and I'd be ready to do it again...Now...if I have a few too many on Friday night..my whole damn weekend is shot.

Because when we drink and the buzz is kicking in we think we are indestructible, Superman you might say, UNTIL the "Super-juice" wears off! Then it is back to reality!

I am always telling my wife that the big "S" on my chest stands for "Superman" and she politely reminds me it stands for "Stupid man"! I think at times she may be right! Tight lines gents!

Not condoning the over indulgence of alcoholic beverages, but if one feels compelled to do that, best thing to do is hydrate with water or gatorade (not energy drinks), then drink a glass of orange juice before going to bed and when you get up. Some of the hangover is caused from dehydrating the body and depleting nutrients in the process. I used to drink alot (alcohol based beverages) years past and found that doin those things helped eleviate the negative affects from drinkin to much.

Oh yeah gatorade, powerade or a couple big glasses of water before the longer trip than normal to the bedroom does the trick, but only cause I think you walk it out on the many trips to the pisser over night. But you have to do it most of the time Im to worried about getting in the sack to get those couple hours of sleep before we are headed out.
Cant say a hangover ever kept me off the ice might have been a little late gettin there though
