Had the sm ll 8 " loved it. Had to send it back because of the mandatory recall. Bought a ion 8" and there is only one thing i like the sm over the ion. You can if you want to , overlap holes easier. The ion will wander if it tilts one way or the other and run back into the first hole. Other then that the ion has many better features then the sm ll which i love.
