Wondering if anybody knows of a place to get a high idle screw? Searched the interwebs to no avail. Hate to spend $70. On a new carb.

do you mean the high speed jet screw?  or the screw that holds the position of the butterfly valve at idle??

If you're looking for the jet, I would think that asking around for someone with a junk carb would be your best bet.  If its the screw on top, I could pop mine out, take it to a hardware store and get the size and thread pitch for you.

I believe it is the high idle mixture screw, the one of the two on the side from the pic in the other thread on tuning.

high speed jet is what it's called.  the low speed jet is for idle mixture, the high speed jet gives you the mixture at wide open throttle.

Go to a small engine shop, they may have one that will work there.  It's a common carb.  There is a spring in there too to keep the jet screw pre-loaded and supposed to prevent situations like this....

Never had both out at the same time and put them next to each other but they don't look different.
