Shlong Lake
« on: Jan 27, 2013, 01:02 PM »
Shlong- hehe, sounds wet.. prolly cuz of the wet/slushy scream crossing into Shlong lake..

Tho the fishing was kinda shlort it was still some great late season brookie fishing..

Lil foxie who came to check out wuz goin on:

Heres dukes watching the brookies swim around near his lure on his fishtv:

and soon after he pulls out an albino brook trout- first of its kind we've ever seen:

being too beautiful a quick pic and off to swim to hopefully catch again someday:

Heres a few of the ones that went to the dinner plate:

This one here is still short of Mervs 22"er but is gettin closer to the 20" range:

Everyday can be a great day out

And to leave you with a Yuk taste in your mouth-(almost makes me wanna spit)  -Any thoughts of this sore on the belly of this brookie???
Doesnt look very nice. Not sure if maybe it got poked with something sharp and being near its belly it got infected while rootin around on the bottom of lake or what. It appeared to be round almost like a lamprey bite on a salmon.. Anyone ever see that kinda mark on a brookie before?

Theres still lots of time left in the season to get out and try for some derby placings..

                                                                                      GO TEAM B.C.

Nice fishing Ian your getting there  ;) and are you sure Dukes is even awake in that pic he looks asleep to me  :P lol. Nice pic of the albino brookie Ian I have never ran across one not even breading them at a hatchery. That sore on the fish looks like a bacterial infection hard to tell what with out looking under a scope. Looks like a good day of fishing I guess i need to head out to my secret lake and try and catch a bigger brookie with you guys gunning for me  ;)  ;D
