Lake Elligo
« on: Jan 22, 2013, 09:44 AM »
I really enjoy fishing Lake Elligo in the spring and have got some goregous rainbows out of there.  Anyone been up Rte 14 and know what the ice is looking like.  Last time I fished there I went out off the boat launch, and people were really concentrated in that area catching pickerel and other shallow water fish.  I went out past the island down to the south on the lake, the water was deep, but didn't even have a flag.  Also I tried to jig up smelt as well and I usually do decent at other places, but nothing going here.  Anyone have any suggestions...Thanks.. .

I've heard there are lakers in there, but I've never hooked into one, plenty of really pretty strong rainbows though.
