gut/abanaki bay
« on: Jan 21, 2013, 06:20 PM »
Fished the north side of the gut this morning. Knight point state park only has about 3.5 inches of ice on it so we tried around the point to abanaki bay. There was 6-8 inches of ice halfway across the bay. Slow morning only about 8 dink pike, one that was legal. Perch were not biting in deeper water. Went into shallows 6-8 FOW and could see perch hitting bait.  Was a pretty good day minus the cold temperatures. Of course wasn't bad till a group of canadians walked through our spread set up within 20 yards of us and kept popping holes every half hour. Anyone have problems with our neighbors from the north fishing etiquette?

They fish like they drive...all over the place and usually too close!
