so according to a chart and graph if the weather is 20* ice will build 2inches over 24 hours and 15* to 10* will get 2.5 inches per 24 hours. if we cap soon the ice will build quite fast. I hope this holds true.

In my opinion that seems a little on the optimistic side. There are a lot of variables to consider, sun, snow coverage, etc.  However, with the temps predicted for the next several days we may even get ice in the Southeast; not 2.5'' either.

I am looking for a week of building but has to cap first. I know it has variables too. But its hopeful to think it can build that fast. and if it hits single digits for 8-14 hour at night it can do even better.

alert alberta clippers comin or is it quebec clipper or sasqatchewan screamers any how with the cold will come very windy and snowy conditions according to accuweather forecast. deep  lake effect snows through the 2nd month of the year,and as van cleaver said prepare to fish lakes in the south outa the snowbelt region sorry pymy and north the model shows lake effect snows as far south as west virginia and through the mountains so go when you can just sayin

Ice from shore to shore. its called locked up. Or cap. Now I hope it is open with all the saow that is on the way
