Highland Saturday

Hit the middle Bay with a buddy at first light. Had close to 6" in most spots but got a bit thinner toward the middle. Fishing was very slow. Got 1 small trout and 1 small perch on tipups. Jigged up a handful of really small perch. Bait was not the problem as Tags hooked me up. Great new shop and great guy as well.

It was like a party out on the ice today. must have been 200 tip up's. Problem was the fishing was sooooooooooooo slow. The Ice was great , solid 6 inches of black.

Good to know was planning on going tomorrow , but i may try to hit elsewhere instead

I was out too. Landed one perch. About to pack up

Typical. No fish all day. As I'm picking up I lost a 3lber brown at the hole. Grabbed it as soon as I stated taking in line. Snapped my leader on the sharp ice
