Buddy heater question?

I just received a buddy heater for Christmas... my question is on the heater itself it came with a tag that tells info about it like btu, gas type, model # etc. and on the tag it says DO NOT REMOVE. I was wondering if this was just for the store personnel or if i need to keep it on the heater for identification or something?

Most of those tags (mattress/pillows) state that they can not be removed prior to sale I believe. I just ordered my buddy heater today, should get it Saturday.
